What Is Grief Talks?
About Us
We aren’t your typical grief educators. We are here to showcase that talking about the hard stuff doesn’t always have to be a sombre experience – it can be enlightening and empowering, too.
Born from lived experience and developed by qualified professionals, we TALK about all forms of grief, giving you the tools to navigate challenges and support others who may be struggling. We believe in proactive education that is backed by evidence-informed practice to create sustainable change.

Meet Katrina Shaw
Katrina is a qualified Counsellor (Dip of Counselling, specialising in Grief and Loss, Child Behaviour and Abuse counselling); International Speaker, Trained Facilitator and was proudly appointed as the first lived experience ambassador for Child Bereavement UK, 2018.
Katrina Weller has become a well-known advocate and speaker for grief, loss and significant change, regularly being termed the ‘grief-girl’ for her community contributions and awareness efforts. Much of her own life has shaped the passion she holds for changing the way we talk about grief, from the death of her Mum, Greta, when she was just 15, her experience with mental illness and suicide attempts, to more recently navigating the road of infertility and recurrent miscarriage.
Through collaborating with local organisations, speaking at a diverse range of events and developing proactive and evidence-informed education, Katrina has and continues to leave people feeling heard, valued and as part of a community that ‘gets it’.
